Becoming a PATH Intl. Instructor:

Phase 1:
In order to become a PATH, Intl. Certified Instructor, you must successfully complete the two phases of the
Registered Certification process (please refer to www.pathintl.org for more information on the process)
Upon supplying all the required documentation and fees to PATH Intl.  you will receive the Phase 1 Packet that gives
you access to on-line courses and exams. Completion of Phase 1 is mandatory before beginning Phase 2.
Once you have completed Phase 1, you will receive a confirmation letter of your Instructor-In-Training (IT) status, which is valid for 12 months. 

The components for Phase 2 are:
  • Phase 2 must be completed within the 12 months of receiving your IT confirmation letter.​
  • Complete 25 hours of  teaching mounted group therapeutic riding lessons under direct supervision of a PATH Intl. Certified Instructor.
  • Attend a Registered Instructor Workshop  (must be completed within 2 years of Certification testing)
  • Successfully complete the Registered Instructor On-Site Certification

Registration and payment deadline: Sept. 8, 2019

Once registered for certification, we will send you a Phase 2 packet with further instructions. In order to participate in the certification you must return the Phase 2 packet along with a copy of your PATH Intl. membership card, your Instructor-in-Training conformation letter and copies of your current CPR and 1st Aid Certification to REACH no later than September 13th so please plan accordingly.
 
There is a maximum of 10 candidates for certification and they will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. However, priority will be given to candidates who are also attending the workshop. The workshop will host a maximum of 30 participants.
​Auditors are welcome if space is available. 


Fees (includes lunch, drinks and snacks each day): 
Workshop Only: $400
Certification Only: $300
Both Workshop and Certification: $650
Audit Only (includes manual): $150
Late fee for certification candidates: $100
